DJ ROCK
Rock is a 9 year old rising star in the Perth DJ scene.
Having just played a flawless, foot stomping set at The Court Hotel for Family Rave Day’s 2024 Halloween rave, he won their Future DJ Competition.
He is a regularly booked artist for paid work around Perth, having a breadth of experience across corporate, fundraisers, sporting clubs, school discos, house parties and weddings.
He has played at many venues and for many clients across WA, including heavy hitters like Hyperfest 24, The Court, Fiona Stanley Hospital, South Perth Foreshore, On The Point, Art Gallery of Western Australia and C Restaurant NYE – to name a few.
Rock effortlessly moves between all genres as requested by clients, but particularly loves DNB and house.
He is a happy, friendly and vivacious kid who shares his unforgettable light with all that meet him.
He has a passion for break dancing, acting and modelling, and is often entertaining a stranger with a magic trick – a true showman with unbounded, yet humble confidence.
Rock is one to watch in the Perth music scene. And at the rocketing pace he is progressing in his craft, will no doubt become a household name very soon.
Rock was so honoured to play for his adoring (new!) fans at Hyperfest 2024.
Even as an 8 year old at the time, he effortlessly played the 2 hour closing set at the silent disco. Punters in the crowd could not believe their eyes as they witnessed Rock drop heater after heater, to a sea of headphones, all lit up in red for his channel. Faces were melting and feet were stomping!
He personally curated his set, so this was an incredible opportunity to express himself and his love for DNB. Mostly playing to client briefs in his work, having autonomy on the music selection gave him a taste of what a true artist experiences.
Rock understands that his DJ endeavours inspire other kids – and adults! – to be brave and give things a go. With commitment, hard work and determination, it’s never too early or too late to turn your dreams into reality, and make something of yourself.
He is a role model to everyone that knows him or watches him play.
